Disease Biology
The Disease Biology division investigates the molecular, cellular, and physiological bases of disease to understand disease mechanisms and identify avenues for intervention. Faculty in this division draw on tools from cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, and molecular biology to study a range of pathological processes. As the department's largest division, it reflects a sustained institutional emphasis on translating fundamental biological insight into an understanding of human health and disease.
